When should you use Spenco gel heel cups?
Heel spurs A heel spur is a calcification or ossification of the plantar fascia at the heel bone. Symptoms include pain under the heel during prolonged standing or walking. Heel spurs are often caused by incorrect foot positioning and uneven load distribution. The gel heel cup provides cushioning under the foot, which reduces pain while walking; it also corrects your foot alignment.
Achilles tendon injuries Forces of more than 12.5 times your body weight can be exerted on the Achilles tendon. The gel heel cup ensures that some of these forces are absorbed. As a result, the Achilles tendon is relieved, leading to a reduction in symptoms.
Bruised heel The dual-density gel absorbs shocks under the heel bone, thereby relieving pressure on your heel. The gel heel cup is therefore highly suitable for promoting recovery of the heel bone.
